Child abuse, also known as child spanking, is the deliberate and
willful injury of a child by a caretaker hitting, beating with an object,
slapping, slamming against structures, and even killing. It involves
active hostile aggressive treatment. The key word in the definition of
child abuse is deliberate. Why would anyone want to deliberately spank or
hit a child? This is the question that society has brought to our
attention. For some parents or caretakers, they believe it will teach them
a lesson and discipline them on their behavior or bad acts. For other
parents or caretakers, it is known as child abuse, which is wrong.
Corporal punishment (child spanking) is meant for the intentional
infliction of pain on the body for purposes of punishment or controlling
